A few key seasonal services are preparing for their final departures, so if you’ve got a last-minute getaway in mind—or you’re keen to capture your final aircraft photos—now’s the time!

Seasonal services farewell

• China Southern’s seasonal service to Guangzhou wrapped up on 16 February 2025, while Singapore Airlines’ supplementary service to Singapore concluded on 15 February 2025—both marking the end of another successful season.
• United Airlines’ seasonal service to San Francisco will conclude on 28 March 2025, and Cathay Pacific’s seasonal service to Hong Kong wraps up on 29 March 2025.

Looking ahead to winter 2025

From 30 March to 25 October 2025, we’re excited to confirm our airline partners’ winter schedules, bringing even more travel opportunities with expanded frequencies on popular routes:

• Jetstar, Qantas, and Air New Zealand are increasing flights across the Tasman, connecting Ōtautahi Christchurch to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast.
• Emirates will continue their daily A380 service year-round, linking you to Dubai and beyond via Sydney.
• Singapore Airlines maintains their daily A350 service, providing seamless connections through Singapore to their global network.
• Fiji Airways will operate up to four flights per week between Christchurch and Nadi, offering easy access to Fiji’s stunning beaches and onward international destinations.

Introducing Jetstar’s new Cairns service!

Launching on 1 April 2025, Jetstar’s brand-new direct service from Christchurch to Cairns (CNS) will operate up to three times a week year-round, giving you direct access to the tropical heart of North Queensland.
