Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL) last
night won the award for the New Zealand medium to large company
which has most improved its staff engagement, as part of the 13th
Kenexa Best Workplaces Survey.
CIAL chief executive Jim Boult is delighted his staff are
as happy to come to work as he is.
"While it's very nice to win this award, it's much more
pleasing to know CIAL staff are happy to be here," he says. "An
award was never our goal - it was always about being a great place
"Four years ago, our staff were ranked at the very bottom
of the Kenexa Best Workplaces Survey. We worked on turning that
around and have had double-digit improvement every year since.
That's very significant by anyone's standard and Kenexa tells me
it's a very rare achievement.

teams, which sits well alongside our vision to be the best airport.
