Kaikoura is situated north of Christchurch in New Zealand, where
the mountains meet the sea. Here you can join a

Hanmer Springs offers the indulgence of a pampering spa and
relaxing thermal pools at its thermal reserve. Nearby stop
for wine tasting and fine cuisine at one of the Waipara Valley's
award-winning wineries. Hanmer's Thrill Seekers Canyon allows
you to sample exciting outdoor adventures such as jet boating,
bungy jumping and quad biking.
Getting There and Around Kaikoura NZ
Christchurch International Airport is the closest airport, which
offers international and domestic flights. Kaikoura is a 2.5
hour drive north of Christchurch and Hanmer Springs is 1.5 hours
north west of Christchurch. A circuit from Christchurch, to
Kaikoura, then Hanmer Springs and back is 370km and is known as the
Alpine Pacific Triangle. Coaches and shuttles are available
between these destinations and the TranzCoastal train service
connects Christchurch to Kaikoura.
