Golfing Gems
Clearwater Resort is an 18-hole, par 72, championship course
right on the doorstep of Christchurch city. Designed in
consultation with renowned New Zealand golfer Sir Bob Charles, it's
home to the HSBC NZ PGA Championship, and features a pro shop,
restaurant, bar and resort accommodation.
6,406 metres in length, the 18-hole, par 72, championship course
at Terrace Downs in the Rakaia Gorge includes 11 lakes and 70
bunkers set against a spectacular alpine backdrop. Luxurious resort
accommodation and a full range of other activities, including
heli-skiing in winter, complete the picture.
Designed by Sir Bob Charles, Millbrook Resort and Country Club
in Arrowtown (near Queenstown) is one of the world's finest alpine
golf courses. An 18-hole, par 72 championship course, it
offers challenging golf against a mountainous landscape. The

accommodation.
Russley Golf Club, incredibly accessible on the main road
between Christchurch International Airport and the city, is an
excellent 18-hole course offering pro shop and club

Walk, Tramp & Ramble
New Zealand's most famous hiking trail, the Milford Track in
Fiordland, follows monumental glacial valleys, passing through lush
temperate rainforest and sub-alpine landscapes.
The Routeburn Track is a popular track lining Mt Aspiring
National Park with Fiordland National Park, passing waterfalls and
lakes along the way.
Tuatapere Hump Ridge Track in Southland is one of the newer
Great Walks and it climbs to 890 metres above sea level, offering
superb views of the Southern Ocean.
The Queen Charlotte Track in Marlborough is an appealing coastal
trail that winds its way through forest, offering glimpses of
