Christchurch International Airport offers services that make
travelling with a bicycle that much easier.
When arriving into Christchurch Airport from a flight you
will need to collect your bicycle from the oversize baggage
collection point at your conveyor belt.
If you would like to assemble your bike you can use the assembly
racks provided. The Bicycle Assembly Area is located
outside the International Arrivals Hall (on the right hand side
when entering the building, or left hand side when
exiting). Please discard any cardboard or plastic wrapping in
the bins which are located close by.
If you wish to take your bicycle on a flight you must pack
your bicycle in a bicycle box. Boxes can be
purchased at Luggage Solutions, which is located in the Check
If you wish to leave your bicycle at the airport there
are three places to lock and leave your bicycle. They are:
1) Under the car park building (unsecured)
2) At the entrance to the International Terminal (unsecured)
3) Luggages Solutions offer a secure storage service for packed
