Main Ski Fields & Resorts

From Christchurch > Mt Hutt, Canterbury’s most widely-known ski area, is renowned for its long season, powder and excellent facilities and is only 1.5 hours from Christchurch.

Porters ski area is also just 1.5 hours from Christchurch and offers great value and comprehensive facilities.  Porters is renowned for its expert runs and terrain park. 

From QueenstownCoronet Peak, offers wonderfully diverse terrain, long on-snow hours (including night skiing) and a great beginners area.

The Remarkables, is known for its varied trails, backcountry areas and terrain parks to suit beginners and experts alike. 

From Wanaka > TrebleCone, is arguably one of the most spectacularly scenic resorts in the world with views across the beautiful Lake Wanaka.  Treble Cone is the largest ski area in the South Island with plenty of exhilarating skiing and snowboarding terrain.

Cardrona is renowned among skiers and boarders for inspiring terrain and dry natural snow. With 320 hectares of wide, undulating trails, open slopes, steep chutes and awesome terrain parks, there’s something for everyone.

Club Ski Fields

The South Islands' club ski fields offer great value and provide that feeling of freedom in the great outdoors.  Ski fields such as Mt Lyford and Hanmer Springs in Canterbury, Mt Dobson, Ohau and Roundhill in Mackenzie and Rainbow in Nelson provide a really unique New Zealand ski holiday experience.
