We consider proposals for corporate sponsorships that are aligned with our vision, ‘to be recognised as NewZealand’s leading tourism gateway’ and which are based on our values of achieving success through integrity, partnership, passion and innovation.

Ellerslie International Flower Show
In March 2009, Christchurch will host the Ellerslie International Flower Show for the first time. As a major sponsor, CIAL was instrumental in the city’s successful bid for this internationally renowned event, which will provide Canterbury and the South Island with an opportunity to showcase our breathtaking natural landscape and our world class tourism offerings. The show will generate significant media interest from all over the world, and CIAL will utilise the opportunity to work with trade partners to develop tourism into the South Island.
World Buskers Festival
CIAL has sponsored the iconic World Buskers Festival since 2006, and is pleased to continue to be aligned with this internationally recognised, fun-filled annual event in Christchurch. With the key objective of providing support to the local community and growing Christchurch’s reputation as an internationally desirable destination, CIAL’s sponsorship of this festival reflects several of the company’s core values including those of partnership, passion and innovation.
Queenstown Winter Festival
Through the company’s consumer website brand SkiDealsNZ.com, CIAL has sponsored Queenstown’s Winter Festival for three years. This sponsorship meets CIAL’s desire, as New Zealand’s tourism gateway, to support the entire South Island community, and provides an avenue for valuable promotion of the SkiDealsNZ.com brand in the target markets of the North Island and Australia, encouraging travel through Christchurch International Airport for winter ski holidays. Additionally, CIAL sponsors a number of small events and charities to enrich the local community and provide support to organisations in need.
