New Terminal Development General Manager

Christchurch International Airport Ltd (CIAL) has appointed Geoff Eban to be the new General Manager of Terminal Development.  Geoff has been the airport’s General Manager Operations and Infrastructure since 2007.

“The terminal development is a major project, and Geoff brings a lot of aviation knowledge and project management experience to this role,” said CIAL Chief Executive Jim Boult. “His familiarity with Christchurch Airport and this project is of great value to us, and makes him a natural fit for this role.”

Geoff Eban joined CIAL in 2007, after 36 years with the Air New Zealand group in technical and engineering positions.  He spent 15 years with Air Nelson, where he project-managed the introduction of a new fleet of 23 aircraft.

Geoff Eban replaces Barry Smith, who was the interim General Manager for the first stage of the Terminal Development project.
